Saidur Rahman is an energetic and goal-oriented development professional, with 30 years of experience in legal aid, restorative justice, human rights, rights based approach, community legal service, village court, gender relations, and social transformation issues related to societal betterment and poverty alleviation. He is a proactive and persuasive communicator with a strategic mind, delivering through hard work, commitment and perseverance. He has strong drive to help others grow professionally, coupled with a personal conviction of life-long learning he cultivates an atmosphere of progress towards organizational growth.
Saidur has extensive managerial experience in the NGO sector and a record of success in getting initiatives off the ground and flourishing. Most recently, he has served with Activating Village Courts Project of UNDP for over a year as National Consultant-Capacity Development and eight years as a Senior Programme Manager with the largest project of DFID called Economic Empowerment of the Poorest (EEP)/shiree, prior to that, he spent twelve years as Deputy Director & Director of ASK, eight years with BRAC as Trainer and Area Manager and now he is working with ManabadhikarShongskriti Foundation as Chief Executive and Secretary.
Saidur Rahman is a lawyer, he did a Masters in Political Science (MSS) and Bachelor in Law (LLB).
